Words I can’t Remember, 2025
duo show with Vilde Blom at Thingness, Bergen (NO) / online

“A collection of figurative soaps; geese, goose, crayons, rose, can’t remember, sea shells, half a raspberry, another half of the raspberry, elephant, pig, teddy bear, crayon, dinosaur without its head. Smell, pouring them out of a glass jar onto the bathroom floor, heated or cold, soap smell, looking at them feeling them putting them back in the jar. Chipped pieces of soap, green with white marks, head lost, tail disappeared.
Tail reappears (on paper), gray on cream, can you see it? This time also a wing.

Sometimes in the morning when I wake up, I have the sensations, emotions, and vague imagery of my dreams still within me. It’s all very present still, but equally vague, like touching something so familiar with your eyes closed, but not remembering the name for it. As I reluctantly let the waking day enter me, all the words and language, the dreams start to slip away.
Sitting at the kitchen table over breakfast, staring into the air in a last attempt to retrieve something from the dreams I had, I only get a glimpse, and feel how the last parts slip away without being nameable. The rest of the day is spent full of thinking in jagged and harsh language.”
Installation with cast soap and graphite rubbings
