AMONG OTHER THINGS

Window exhibition at Gallery Format, showing a selection of photographs from a larger series of still lifes.

“There might be something liberating in not ascribing the things anything else than what can be seen in them, both for the things themselves and for the spectator. ‘To see is to forget the name of the thing one sees’, but maybe also the absence of a name can make us see.“ Full text here.

7 translucent vinyl prints mounted onto windows, various dimensions, backlit during night time.

DEN HÄR YTAN ÄR VIKTIG FÖR BERÄTTELSEN (THIS SURFACE IS IMPORTANT FOR THE STORY)

Collaborative exhibition with Moa Gustafsson Söndergaard, exploring surfaces. Are they windows we are looking out through, towards a narrative, or are they just one side of a spatial object with many sides?

The work is also an exploration of how the images of the mass media participate in this spectacle, and create a collective idea about these persons and about power.“ Full text here.
